Moving Back East

02/02/2012 09:04 I've been living on the West Coast for about four years now, but the other day I got a call from my mom and she said that she was really sick. She wanted me to move back so that I could be with her, so I went out to one of those storage trailer rental places and paid for one. I needed to haul all of my stuff back to the East Coast, which was going to be incredibly difficult. I had amassed quite a bit of stuff over the years and I didn't want to part with any of it. Some of it I was going to get rid of, but a lot of the things I wanted to leave to some of my friends. This girl I knew pretty well told me that she could get me a good deal on trailer storage, but I told her that I had already found a good place. Within a couple of days I was able to get rid of everything, then I said my goodbyes and hit the road. It took me almost two weeks to get out there, and by the time I did the leaves were changing. As I got back into my home town I passed those familiar Rhode Island storage containers that we are famous for. It felt like absolutely nothing had changed and as I drove up to my parent’s house I was happy to be back.
