Making a birth plan

10/19/2011 11:30 When you first find out that you are pregnant most likely you will find yourself with dozens of concerns and thoughts running through your head, however, instead of letting these thoughts overwhelm you it may be a better idea to simply step back and get to work on a birth plan that will allow you to plot the time you have until your child arrives. The reason for this is because if you settle down a bit and concentrate on what is to come you will feel less nervous overall about the fact that you will soon have a child. It is easy to get overwhelmed if you feel as if you have thousands of things to do because of how easy it is to forget some major step, but once you get all of your concerns down on paper it will be easier to sort through them so that you have a formidable action plan walking into the next nine months of your pregnancy. This will also remind you that there are some fun aspects of giving birth such as getting to sit down with your best friend to plan out baby shower ideas or sitting down with your spouse or partner to think about boy baby names.
